Ericast 196 - Discovering Quarry Park

Click here to listen to this week's episode!

I took the chance to grab the girls and head up to Quarry Park, about 90 minutes north of the Twin Cities, so see if it was as cool as I thought it would be.

It was.

Remember to call 206-339-3742 (a.k.a. 206-339-ERIC) to share your thoughts, especially since that number will expire soon if somebody doesn't!

In addition to the podcast, here's a quick video that Candela shot:

Ericast 195 - Too Much Reminiscing?

Click here to listen to this week's episode!

This week we're talking about memories... and "living in memories," which isn't as crazy as it sounds given that lots of people read novels and science fiction and watch television shows and do all sorts of things that have them "living in things that didn't ever happen and never will."  It's an interesting thing to ponder.

Also, I roll in the Dweeb Thought about trying to fix YouTube audio.  Don't forget that you can get the Dweeb Thought feed piped into you brain, straight from my lips to your ears, by adding http://feeds.ericast.com/dweebthoughts to your podcatcher, or just visit www.DweebThoughts.com at your convenience.

So, any ideas to help me with "cleaning up audio in video?"  Or, what's your take on "healthy reminiscing" vs. too much "living in the past"?  Share your comments by calling 206-339-3742, a.k.a. 206-339-ERIC, or send an email to me (eric) at ericast.com.

Ericast 194 - The Hunger Games

Click here to listen to this week's episode!

There's a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon where Calvin asks his dad how they determine the weight limit for bridges; his dad replies that they drive bigger and bigger trucks over it until it breaks, then they rebuild the bridge and post the weight of the last truck.  This podcast is an example of what happens when you get really, really tired and decide to do a podcast anyway.  The proper point at which to not do a podcast is sometime before this evening's point was reached.  But, I did one anyway.  It's entertaining, in a different way.

Apologies for the audio clipping, especially in the first segment.  Too tired to back away from the mike.  Yup, that's a lame explanation.  Cope.

Tip-of-the-week: Any color named "The Ego Has Landed" is something you shouldn't use on a house.  (Don't worry; we didn't.)
