Ericast 26 - "Kirti's Talking Head"

A combination of a tribute to Kirti and a conversation about "talking heads" on video leads to this week's incoherent title. Because my going back and adding an outline caused the feed to duplicate itself last week (sorry!), any additional notes on this podcast will appear in the comments of this entry at http://www.ericast.com. We'll see if that helps.

Greetings to Beka -- but not yet Becca, who I'll greet in a later episode.

Huge thanks to Albert Maruggi from ProvidentPartners.net for letting us roll his podcast into ours. If you have any video-related thoughts, be sure to give us a call!

I'm also claiming my Odeo feed with this particular episode, so I need to mention the following:

My Odeo Channel (odeo/04bcc4c061a25f64)

Ericast 25 - "Stacks of Books"

This week, featuring an official title change from "Episode x" to "Ericast x"; when I started the podcast, I didn't know what it was like to have all sorts of different podcasts in my podcatcher software and MP3 player... but now I do know what that's like, and I bet it's hard for the rest of y'all to keep them straight. Who created an "episode"? Who knows?!? But the Ericast... well, there's only one place you can find that!

All sorts of miscellaneous content in this episode, which I didn't outline here for reasons I explain in the podcast. But dedicated listener Daniel Hook did (taking my comments on "community podcasting" to heart)! Thanks, Daniel! I added in some links to the sites I had in mind. Here's Daniel's run-down:

Episode 24 - "Content-Full Podcasts"

You wanted content? You got content! Actually, the theme for this Ericast is "measuring attention" -- something that's fairly easy to do when it comes to video, and really difficult (conceptually, at least) for audio materials. Any ideas out there? Give me a call at 206-339-ERIC (that's 206-339-3742) and let me know what you think. And if you want to do something else to kill time, listen carefully for the patent number in this particular episode and do a patent search for this log splitter.

Yeah, this week is what you might call an "eclectic mix". You might call it something else, too.

Remember to visit http://www.ericast.com/ for all the latest Ericast-related stuff -- including the last 23 episodes (plus miscellaneous "Ericast Updates" that don't count toward the running total). Thanks for listening!

Episode 23 - "Our First Injury"

A late podcast commemorating the fact that my daughter got her first blood-drawing injury (a little cut on her chin) -- but don't worry about that being a substantial topic of the podcast. Instead, I spend a lot of time talking semi-coherently in my new-and-improved cold-induced voice... which you won't hear again until I pick up another virus that hits me just right.

Kari Byron, Kirsten Kemp, general housing and solar energy discussion, greeting to Dan and Matt and Jon and a new Tom (creator of the digedia.com logo), brief discussion about compressing audio... this particular episode has it all!

Remember to comment with an e-mail (or a call to 1-206-339-ERIC) and let me know what you think!
